treat all alcoholic beverages with respect (5% and above). get them down in gulps, you've got yourself a day of headache. half litre of organic cider on empty stomach and in 5min is definitely not good in any sense.

sis will finally be back today, 21days eurip. she's bringing back some small miniatures of alcohol that she got at just over a dollar each. she should be on the plane now that departs from frankfurt, 6more hours to go.

student camp in all saints church always mean so much to me. it was, it is and it will always be. it was in sec4 11thjune, 1205am i accepted Christ, that was during the camp itself, the very last day of it. it was still so vivid, what happened that night when mr. chua talked to me and shared about the 4spiritual laws. i still have that very book with me now. it was in 2007 i committed myself.

today, 2years later, im not taking part in the camp as a camper anymore, im too old for it. instead, im doing something that is much more meaningful-serve during the camp. tonight, i re-committed myself again. i nearly cried out again, and tears were already waiting to fall out when they sang the song "so you would come". many of you out there may not know how much this song means to me, it really moves me to my tears everytime without fear. its the song that would bring me to my knees and pray, and pray and pray. those who are slipping away should have came for the paw night, you'll reconsider and regain your faith.

the camp name this year was 哈K! 46.3. you might be wondering too what has that got to do with a church camp. the 哈K! means 'hark', or to listen. while for the 46.3, take a look at your phone's keypad. it is G-O-D. so the camp name simply means listen to God. you'll never find the 46.3 frequency on your radio's tuner, its all in the heart. it never dies out.

some pics to wrap up this post. its been a tiring and long day for me. gotta catch my precious sleep.

Thursday 11 June 2009

the sports and fitness june camp is finally over as the last activities end yesterday. this year, im the one watching the j1s getting punished, though we also did our own punishments.

day 1, got to school early in the morning to leave some stuff in the gym and help will up the jerry cans. they are still very heavy, each holding about 10l of drinkable water. followed by travelling with all the rest to pulau ubin. super long and tiring day, and the start of all the inside-jokes i think only the gls and agls know. these are some stuff that others should not know hahahaha! at the start of the day, i though my group was very good, they seem quite flawless. but after the treasure hunt, or more importantly during night navigation, their flaws start to appear. treasure hunt was the lost man, and night navi was injured agl. thanks nigel(grandsenior) for helping make such a good and convincing show, and cixian(agl) for acting. i thought the group will hate me for doing such stuff to test their reaction, but after reading their reflections, they were grateful i helped them find their sense of urgency which they lack. and also stated how important that is. was so much more relieved after reading all that. because of the 'show' at night, everything ended later by quite abit.

day2, morning pt was good, and all the j2s were pretty screwed for this part. we were all walking instead of running. but i did run abit alright! back to school late morning to get ready for the school phase of the camp. tim, gideon, eugene zz and i gladly agreed to be the 'police' for underground, bad choice... the rest of the j2s were mostly showering while we have to run around for 2hours chasing 24 j1s around the school. jasmine tan saw me and told me that we should do it another way around, why make the j2s run like crazy. buffet dinner was good, had to protect the meat but sort of failed. lots of jokes again over dinner. want to post some here but dont think it will be a good idea.

day3, one night stand early in the morning after fire drill at 1.30am. the j1s got their 2hours of sleep while gls had none. the effect wasnt as good as expected, gls and exco know the reason. sat through the interview and talked to the j1s to keep them awake and influence them to sit down supposed to sleep as we were allowed to, but stayed up to watch the squueze and spread/superglue (as understood by ocip). big fail too, everyone was not quite satisfied with the outcome of the activity.

to wrap up, some pics will do the job! if you want to know the jokes, look for anyone of the gls or agls (:

the anson pose.hahahhahahha!!the gls(alexia, boonling, sakinah, zz and i) and agls.

the east is still good. i mean the real east.

alright, went to changi village again. dined and drank at hanamco. thats a branch of the famous Charlie's Corner at the market side of changi village. the dude still remembers me, if you see a young lad ordering so many alcoholic drinks just to find one he likes, of course you'll remember. so he asked "apple cider for you?" of course man, and 6bottles of it. although i started with this half pint of german beer that tastes sweet and very malty. its called könig ludwig, good indeed. dinner was stewed lamb shank with rice that is good too.
From Drop Box

everything was fine till i gulped down this glass of Manuka Honey Vodka by 42below. its quite tasty and smooth, but its still vodka. get it down in 2 mouthfuls, you'll start to feel light, then abit giddy, followed by headache the next day. each bottle will cost eighty plus, maybe i'll get the kiwi flavoured one soon. dont worry, i'll share, its good stuff to satisfy alcholics (:

i'll be visiting changi much more often, maybe till the 3malls in orchard open and the people in tampines significantly reduces. i hate the unecessary crowd, really.

tomorrow will be the start of hell for me, and the other seniors that are involved in the june camp. hope my group will be good, active and maybe get themselves a position in the exco. gotta pack my stuff, not alot this time. 7.30 in school tomorrow. have a nice day.

God calls His children to unity.

Saturday 6 June 2009

service ended on time and i decided not to stay back to help out, im simply too tired. student camp's registration numbers has got everyone panicking now, no one in the church expected 250. the usual saturday youth fellowship only has 60odd people. so you can imagine. gotta fill up the balcony for paw night for non-campers. i dont know why there's so many this year, but hope the more people will accept christ during the camp this year.

got no idea how many that is?

this is how it looks like during paw.

the $80 report

3pieces of paper and an envelope for $80. thats my medical report. but interestingly, theres another condition that i did not take note of. left ankle peroneal tendinopathy.refer to this link for more info. sounds quite scary but i was diagnosed with and i dont even know its there. maybe im used to the pain being there already.
http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/front/ankle/peroneal_tendinitis.php

and the bilateral patella femoral pain syndrome (PFPS)
http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/front/knee/patellofemoral_pain_syndrome.php
if you have the symptoms like knee pain near the knee cap area, be it around, under or the front of it, you might just be having pfps too. so please take care and see the doctor at sports medicine.

then there's tests that i've done at sports medicine, at least now i know that they are the Patella grind test (sounds very painful) and Clarke's test. and Dr Ng, despite looking so blur and slack, actually knows alot. maybe because i dont know the exact terms, like bilateral pes planus(flatfoot) and genu recurvatum(backward curvature or hyperextention of the knee).

Thursday 4 June 2009

national chemistry week. infusing chemistry into food. sounds good? yeah it does, till the flower/weed/leaf (as defined by alexia) turns up today. how i wish chan didnt tell her that we were in the kitchen for that, if not she/it would have just walked away to somewhere else. whats worse will come tomorrow, it/she, chan and i will be ushering the group of students up to the kitchen, she voluntarily raised up her hand.....

ocip dryrun today was good, at least for the half that i went. its the feeling that you want everything to work out nice and smooth, and having a valid rationale in everything you do. hope our efforts will pay off during the camp, i sacrificed a few hours of my mugging time for it. fine, so did the others who turned up as well. something funny is always gonna happen during sessions like today with the ocip peeps. im not gonna elaborate much, its disgusting but funny at the same time. everyone was laughing like nuts when they saw it. seriously, i still think that naveen is on a totally different frequency from the rest of us. he can just start singing the school song out of nowhere during the game. i dont get it really. talking to me about magnets and other weird stuff, but still a nice dood but dont have much in common to talk about.

talking about camps, i think im gonna treat my group real well for the sports and fitness camp coming up the start of next week. i got them these 2 packs of granola bars that i will keep with me in case they need something to chew on in ubin or during debriefs at night. moses and anson are going to be part of the advance party together with george(scared of gays), alvin(scared of the dark) and ashley. dont know how the 3doods will spend the extra night in ubin. good luck! hahahaha(:

to end, i hope zy wont mind this. his new video, well done! its in higher quality, so might take a while to load. a cover for Your Body Is A Wonderland by john mayer. awesomely sexy song.
