10days from now, it'll be Christmas Day.

time to start soaking in the Christmas mood.
somehow, this Christmas feels different. probably im more attached to the church now than before, which is a good thing(:
might also be that this year has been especially eventful-all the ups and downs, the parties, joy, fun, laughter, disappointments, love, failures and stress and whatever you might find noteworthy. bun its been a good year. thank God.

reflecting on the past 350days in 2009, i made my mistakes, but did not manage to correct all. i have probably grown to be more thoughtful of the people around me, maybe more sensitive as well. i've seen some of the worst human characters in jc, how terrible people can get. they could be your best of friends for a minute, and the they'll be stabbing you in the back in the next. i still have a long way to go and learn about the world out there. nothing is gonna be rosy. but still, i to thank God for allowing me to learn.

few things i want to highlight that i really really want to thank God for, and they could be the best evidence that God has been wonderfully good to me.

1. my ah gong and ah mah. their health wasnt the best this year, with my grandpa getting hospitalized several times. he was diagnosed with cancer as well, and his health has been on the decline since then. there was once i thought i would lose him, i cried that time. they took care of me since young at the same old place at amk, watched me grow up through the years. its still heartwarming when i visit them every weekend and they ask how i've been. this kind of love, though hard to describe, is able to reach so deeply inside my heart. for everyday that they are still around, i thank God for it. i dont know what will happen tomorrow, i dont know when will they leave me, i dont know if im prepared to take the blow.

2. my family. they have been a wonderful support for me through the tough A'levels, making sure im well taken care of all the time. and especially my sis, though we might quarrel abit at times over some of the silliest things, she's the one that really shows the concern. asked me about school and friends, and i would also share will her my troubles. for those who are coming on the 26th, my sis is the one that asked me to bring friends home.

3. friends. all the groups of friends that i have.
firstly, and most importantly, ocip. this part is specially for you peeps.

we've just met for abit more than a year ago, thats not a very long time. but the friendships forged are as if we've known each other for a long long time. maybe not everyone, but the usual few that party and chill together. 12days in Vietnam, a once in a lifetime experience. memories from the short 12days will go a long way. friends that i can always count on, and probably some of the closest i have in jc as well. people that probably need a special mention will be melodie, gen, melina, olivia, john, tom, peter and zz. we're all so different in our own ways, yet we still can find a common thing that brings us all so close together. idk how things will go from now on, but keep partying(:

second on my friends list, the brothers from 08S02. sheldon, sam, chan, ricky and kishen. we did all the stupidest things ever, and probably gay-est too. nights in rodanthe and mulan with guys. thats quite wrong. now we've pretty much drifted away from each other, but we'll meet soon. ricky is back in malaysia, idk what he's doing there but prolly enjoying himself. chan is in cambodia, back in jan next year. sheldon is still travelling around, just back from beijing and now in hk. sam is working and the indian is still bragging. and me, still trying to find my way around and get settled down.

third comes my secondary school friends. zhengyi, jovan, lord jr, guorong, jon and many more that i still keep in contact with. we've been classmates and teammates for like 4 years back in anglican high, been through lots of shit together but here we are, all still alive and doing well in our own ways.

last would be the random friends that i have, idk how to categorize you peeps. ehhh some of the S01 doods, sports and fitness, badminton juniors. basically thats about it.

i'll be really busy for the next few days, going on intensive cycling training and running to build up stamina as well. March 4th, OCBC CYCLE SINGAPORE.

to end this post, lets have some word from God.

2Samuel 22:1-3
David sang this song to the LORD on the day the LORD rescued him from all his enemies...:"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom i find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence"
Matthew 25:21
You have been faithful in handling this small amount...Let's celebrate together!

in this time of giving, lets celebrate and thank God for all the good he has done!
God bless!
